The Fromelles Connection - Exhibition in St Peter's for Pte Benjamin Richardson, 54th Battalion Australian Imperial Force

On 19th July 2010 the Commonwealth War Grave at Fromelles will see the final burial and dedication.

Here in Blaxhall we will remember Benjamin Richardson Jnr, he left Blaxhall in 1913 for a new life in Australia but his life was cut short when he was tragically killed at the Battle of Pheasant Wood, Fromelles 19th July 1916.

We don't have a picture of Ben but we do have a picture of his Memorial Plaque and a picture of his father, Benjamin Richardson Snr.

An exhibiton about the journey to find a DNA link for Ben Richardson can be seen during Open Churches week at St Peter's Church, Blaxhall.

Maggie,

I have been trying to make contact with you regarding Ben Richardson and the DNA quest.

See my posting - I am sure that a match can be found but feel the approach would best be made by a local relative and have been told by another member on the rootschat website that you were involved in the original hunt and perhaps have the contacts I am seeking.

I hope you can help.

Kind regards,
