I am grandaughter of Robert and Pricilla Savage and was raised at an early agein Blaxhall.Would love contact with any of my long lost cousins, especially with David and John Savage, sons of George and Joan Savage.Well done to produces of this web site.It has stirred many memories! Thank you.

to marion fenner priscilla i believe was a ling before her marriage.she was friends with my great grandfather george messenger and his wife kate (nee) ling have you read the book thats shown on this web site they have a chapter about them.i think im probably related to them as well.

Hi Thank you for your help.I remember very well. My grandmother, nana Prissy and I often visited him and had the usual cup of tea. He lived down the,a walk way between the allotments in a sort of pre-fabricated building--all on his own and very often told us stories of times gone bye.I was fascinated and often popped in to see him when on an errand for my nan.I have the book---Ask The Fellows That Cut The Hay-- one of the originals presented to my Grandparents by Mr George Ewart Evans the author---a most treasured possesion.

Your comments about ure visits to my g.g.george messenger was a joy to read. The old bungalow was called Windrush and the little track between it and the allotments we knew as The Drift. I used to go ther for my summer holidays with my parents and two brothers. I think we were proberly known as "the townies" but we had a deep love for the place and its people. My dads mum was Kate and Georges daughter. Dad used to cycle up tp suffolk on his bike with his brother George from south London where they were then living in their younger days. I have very happy memories of Blaxhall, the people, all who were brilliant characters and hope one day to visit. I am loveing this site and seeing names of people and places who I remember.

George and Kate Messenger were my Great grand parents as well! So who are you??
There are so many family connections around Blaxhall and some seem to have got lost over the years!
Looking forward to regaining contact.

Sorry, I'm new here and may have sent to the wrong place. I am replying to Carpfishing wondering who they are as we seem to share Great Grandparents.
